Abstract: Objective To investigate the role of CBX2 in tumorigenesis and development of bladder cancer by the analysis for CBX2 expression in normal bladder tissue and bladder cancer tissue as well as its correlations with clinicopathological and epidemiological parameters. Methods The differential expression of CXB2 in normal bladder tissue and bladder cancer tissue was analyzed by GEPIA and UALCAN. The correlations of CBX2 with clinicopathological and epidemiological parameters of bladder cancer were analyzed by LinkedOmics. CBX2 expression in normal bladder tissue and bladder cancer tissue was analyzed by the cancer genome atlas (abbreviated as TCGA) and immunohistochemistry. The relationship between the expression of CBX2 and the survival rate of patients with bladder cancer was analyzed by GEPIA. Results The results of database analysis showed that the expression of CBX2 in bladder cancer was significantly higher than that in normal tissue, and the expression of CBX2 showed a good positive correlation with multiple indicators of clinicopathological and epidemiological parameters. In addition, overall survival and disease-free survival rates of patients with bladder cancer combined with high CBX2 expression were significantly lower than those of patients with bladder cancer combined with low CBX2 expression (P<0.05). Conclusion CBX2 is highly expressed in bladder cancer tissue, and the high expression of CBX2 indicates a low survival rate in patients with bladder cancer.
